Recently, we had reached a turning point in our use of Madison Hours. For most of the 12 years that we've been accepting Hours we've had a surplus. That changed this summer. We hired someone from the listings here to help us with landscaping. It was a good match and the job went well. We, however, ran out of Hours. Since then we've twice had less on hand than requested by our staff in their pay.

So, until Nov 25, we will be accepting 100% Madison Hours on any purchase over $2.50. This will allow us to be able to pay our staff the Hours they want in time to use them at the Holiday Trade Fair and give us a buffer for the winter.

So... if you've got Hours sitting around, put them back into circulation with a cup of soup or a stimulating beverage.
